A Final High-Five for Alexandra Renslo
After 13-plus years at CCX Media and more than 20 years in the news business, Alexandra Renslo is trading the newsroom for the classroom. She plans to go back to school and become a teacher.
Alexandra has always been a reporter who likes to tell a good story, and she’s told her fair share. Her 2010 story, Hair Dye for Haiti followed a Maple Grove High School student’s creative fundraising efforts. The story, put together with photographer Dustin Scholl, won a 2010 Regional Emmy for Story of the Year. In 2011, Alexandra went in-depth with the National Guard for a series of deployment stories as soldiers prepared for Operation New Dawn. As our Business Matters reporter, every week Alexandra profiled local companies and explained business trends that impacted companies right here at home.
Alexandra also has a heart for the community. She rode and waved at many fans in parades in the Northwest Metro. She volunteered to recognize students at banquets and donated her time to connect with schools and nonprofits. Alexandra doesn’t hesitate to give back.
But here’s something you might not know about Alexandra. She loves to give high fives. In fact, she’s the official CCX Media giver of high fives. She believes a good high five can make the day better, so don’t hesitate to give Mrs. Renslo a high five when you pass her in the hall….and tell her it’s from her friends here at CCX Media.
Good Luck Alexandra!
