60-Year-Old Pleads Guilty to Setting Man on Fire in Brooklyn Center
A Minneapolis man has pleaded guilty to setting another man on fire in Brooklyn Center.
Charles Hall, 60, was charged with assault in December 2022.
According to the criminal complaint, Brooklyn Center officers found a man with severe burns in the 7000 block of Perry Avenue N.
Hall and the victim had gotten into a fight earlier that day. Hall later went to a gas station and filled up a cup with gasoline, threw it on the victim and lit him on fire.
The victim was hospitalized and placed in a medically-induced coma. His house also sustained fire damage.
Hall faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
His sentencing is scheduled for May 28.
