10 Local Teachers Nominated for Teacher of the Year
Education Minnesota will name a Teacher of the Year in May and there are 134 teachers from across the state nominated for the honor. Ten local teachers from the Anoka-Hennepin, Robbinsdale, Osseo, and Wayzata districts are nominated.
Anoka-Hennepin Nominees:
Stephanie Gwin, an eighth grade English teacher at Jackson Middle School
There are seven nominees out of the Anoka-Hennepin district. Only one teaches in Brooklyn Park.

Osseo Area Schools Nominees:
Kori Brown, art teacher at Birch Grove Elementary
Jan Radder, second grade teacher at Birch Grove Elementary
Jessica Spurrell, fourth grade teacher at Fernbrook Elementary

Janet Rein, Kindergarten teacher at Lakeview Elementary International Baccalaureate School
