What are your qualifications for this office?
I am a US Army National Guard veteran seeking to continue to serve. Professionally, I am a product designer with my whole career working for Minnesota-based companies. I earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. I am running for Maple Grove City Council because I love this city, and I care deeply about ensuring a high quality of life for our neighbors. I served for two years on the Maple Grove Arbor Committee, advising city leadership on preservation of the urban trees and nature areas.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
I am running to maintain a diverse, sustainable, accessible and vibrant community. If elected, I will aim to increase the supply of housing in price points accessible to young families and seniors. I will encourage growth of careers and jobs of all kinds that support living right in Maple Grove. We will need to stabilize the business community during and after the pandemic with businesses that creatively fulfill niches and needs and have long-term staying power.
