What are your qualifications for this office?
LeadMN represents the Community, Technical and Tribal Colleges within the Minnesota State system, which encompasses 180,000 students. I held and was voted into the position of Treasurer and President during bonding and budgeting years. We advocated at a state and federal level for an increase of funding and support for PELL Grant and student support services like TRIO. We were able to develop a statewide advocacy campaign resulting in the 3rd highest voter registration in the nation.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
I want to create equity, inclusion and diversity benchmarks within the entire city of Robbinsdale and all city services to make sure we have polices in place to support them. In addition we need the right people in the conversation to be assured this is not a trend and will have a forever impact on the community of Robbinsdale.
