Congratulations to “Best of the Midwest Media Fest” Honorees
CCX Create volunteers and staff will be honored at the upcoming 2024 Best of the Midwest Media Fest, organized by Wisconsin Community Media. The festival aims to highlight outstanding video and radio programs produced by Midwestern professionals and amateurs, utilizing PEG (Public, Education, and Government Access channels) media centers or low-power FM stations for production and distribution.
“We’re thrilled to see our producers’ remarkable achievements acknowledged at the Best of the Midwest Media Fest,” says Javier Cedillo, CCX Create Coordinator. “This recognition underscores the incredible talent and dedication within our community, showcasing the impactful storytelling and diverse perspectives our producers bring to the forefront.”
The following CCX Create producers are being honored at the 2024 Best of the Midwest Media Fest:
• Sharon Kephart, Excellence Award, “Auntie Sharon’s Crafts N’ More,”
• Dustin Cooper, Excellence Award, “CCX Tour,”
• Charlie Brose, Achievement Award, “Disability Landscape,”
• Ilona Parunakova, Achievement Award, “What Love Got to Do with Pain,”
• Milana Schaal, Merit Award, “How to Find Courage Within.”
Residents across the nine cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Osseo, Plymouth, and Robbinsdale are encouraged to explore the world of media production and storytelling with CCX Create. The community media center offers a supportive environment where individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels can thrive, whether they’re seasoned filmmakers or novice enthusiasts.
