The 2023 Recipients of Crystal’s “Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors Awards”
The results of Crystal’s 7th annual “Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors Awards” are in.
The following residents were honored during the April 18th city council meeting.
Phil & Donna Bradbury
The Bradbury’s were nominated by a neighbor who said, “We have lived on 52nd Avenue for 23 years and Phil and Donna have faithfully cleared the fire hydrant in their yard each Minnesota winter without complaint to keep us all safe in case of an emergency. This is just one example of what makes Phil and Donna great neighbors. We love our neighbors!”
Lowell Kuhlman
Lowell was nominated by a neighbor who said, “He helped repair my kitchen faucet and my vacuum cleaner. He put a new back on a dresser I bought, installed new door locks, and assembled an elliptical. Lowell always does the work with a cheerful attitude.”
Charlie Weihe & Naomi Davidson
Charlie and Naomi were nominated by a neighbor who said, “Naomi and Charlie give extra care to their 90 year-old neighbor and love to spoil the neighborhood kids. My family and my yard are thankful for the gorgeous plants they provided. They make this neighborhood extra special.”
Steve & Becky Wilks
The Wilks have lived in Crystal for 30 years. They were nominated by a neighbor who said,“Our neighbors are always around when we need a helping hand. Whether it be borrowing a tool, helping with the dogs, or blowing our driveway when our snowblower breaks down, they go above and beyond to support our family and have made our move to Crystal a welcoming experience.”
