Robbinsdale Staff Readies for Busy Election Season
Voting has begun in a very busy 2024 election season across the northwest suburbs. Robbinsdale city leaders talked about how they’re preparing for four separate rounds of elections.
“We’re excited, we’re busy,” said Robbinsdale City Clerk Chase Peterson-Etem. “We want to give everyone the opportunity to participate in elections and make sure that they’re knowledgeable and informed before they do that in how to vote, where to vote, and who’s on the ballot.”
Peterson-Etem said the best way to get information is to visit the city’s website or to call city hall to ask questions.
“We’re here to help and we’re trying to get all of the information out as best we can,” he said.
One way residents can help is to sign up to be a paid election judge at one of the four city precincts.
“It’s a quick three-hour training and then they’re qualified to help us on election day in each ward,” said Peterson-Etem.
The schedule for elections in Robbinsdale is:
- March 5, 2024 – Presidential Nomination Primary
- May 14, 2024 – Robbinsdale Ward 2 Special Election
- August 13, 2024 – State Primary Election
- November 5, 2024 – State General Election
