Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje Talks About Opening of Northwest Greenway
Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje said the recent completion of the Northwest Greenway caps more than a quarter-century of work by city leaders.

“This is really exciting,” Mayor Wosje told CCX Media’s Dave Kiser. “The council started debating this, and we went to a referendum like 25 years ago, when the whole idea and concept started. It’s over 300 acres of land that will never be developed, that’ll always be nature. It took so long to acquire all those properties for the city to take ownership.”
The seven-and-a-half miles of trails are now completed.
“We just encourage our residents to get out there. Tons of nature. It’s beautiful,” Wosje said.
Fieldhouse Dome Open For Winter
The Fieldhouse Dome is up at the Plymouth Community Center and ready for wintertime fun. Wosje encourages anyone wishing to stay active when the temperatures outside drop to come inside for some fun and recreation.
“The fieldhouse has a track that goes around the whole field house on the outside. In the community center, we also have a walking track,” he said. “In the community center is warmer, so we encourage the walkers to use that, and the runners who like 50 degrees, they can use the field house for the running.”
