Our Town’s Story: Plymouth
Take a trip back through time and learn about the wonderful city of Plymouth, Minnesota. This 44 minute presentation is filled with stories about life in what is now Plymouth from the periods of the first settlers to the growth as a city. In mid-2018 production started on Our Town’s Story: Plymouth. Work on the program was completed by CCX Media with the help of The Plymouth Historical Society.
The story of Plymouth’s history is told in the words of a wonderful mix of people well connected to the city. Interviewees include Plymouth Historical Society Members Bob Gasch, Ted Hoshal, Natasha Thoreson current Council Member Jim Willis, Former Mayor Kelli Slavik, Former Mayor Al Hilde, Longtime Resident Genevieve Lane, Former Plymouth Director of Parks and Recreation Eric Blank, and Former Wayzata Schools Superintendent Roger Adams.
The video includes sections on the early settling of the area now known as Plymouth, early industry and activities in the area, the start of village and city development, the growth of schools in the area, and present day development and future planning.
