New Hope Mayor’s Minutes: New City Manager, Citywide Garage Sale, and Food Truck Friday
New Hope City Welcomes Reece Bertholf as New City Manager in June
Reece Bertholf, the newly appointed City Manager of New Hope, will begin his new role starting June 12.
One of Bertholf’s first tasks will be to familiarize himself with the city’s administrative staff and gain an understanding of their respective roles and responsibilities. He will also thoroughly review New Hope’s budget and financial situation, develop a plan for addressing the city’s priorities, and meet with community members and stakeholders.
Mayor Hemken expressed excitement about the imminent arrival of the new City Manager, stating, “We’re excited to have him.”

City Services Survey
The city survey is now available for residents to complete. The survey is an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and ideas on a variety of topics, including city services, infrastructure, and economic development.

Citywide Garage Sale
New Hope’s fourth annual Citywide Garage Sale will be held June 16 and 17.
The garage sale is open to all New Hope residents. A map of all registered sales will be available online, with hard copies available at City Hall during regular hours.
Food Truck Friday
The aroma of delectable dishes will soon fill the air of the City Hall parking lot as a variety of food truck vendors will roll in to satisfy the lunchtime cravings of employees, residents, and visitors.
To make it easier for attendees to plan their lunch experience, a list of participating vendors can be found online, though this list is subject to change.
Food Truck Friday will take place every Friday from June 9 to Aug. 18, excluding July 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m in the New Hope City Hall parking lot, located at 4401 Xylon Ave N.
