Meet New Hope’s New City Manager
Meet Reece Bertholf
In June 2023, Reece Bertholf became New Hope’s new city manager.
Bertholf says he’s been impressed by the quality and caliber of employees and residents he’s found in New Hope.
“It’s been going great…it’s absolutely an amazing place to work,” said Bertholf.

Bertholf will oversee departments at city hall and make policy recommendations to the city council.
Bertholf is a Bemidji native and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He comes to New Hope from Beaufort, South Carolina, where he worked his way through the ranks of the fire department before being promoted to assistant city manager and deputy city manager.

Bertholf says he’s happy to be back in Minnesota and has been busy familiarizing himself with New Hope.
“I hope to spend a significant amount of time in New Hope, working diligently in order to maintain and grow the quality of life that the citizens have come become accustomed,” Bertholf said.
