Meet Crystal’s New City Manager Adam Bell
Adam Bell became Crystal’s new city manager in January of 2023.
Bell came from the city of Bayport where he spent six years as city administrator.
“I was at the point in my career that I had been in Bayport for six years. I had a great time there, but I was ready for the next step in my career,” said Bell.
He found that opportunity in Crystal, coming after long-time city manager Anne Norris. Norris retired in 2022 after 31 years of service to the city.
“There’s a lot of opportunity here to do exciting things. It’s fully developed, but at the same time, there is an opportunity for redevelopment,” said Bell. “Crystal is an affordable place to live. It has access to a lot of amenities and access to amenities outside of Crystal as well.”
As new city manager, his first goals are to build trust with the council and build upon the progress that Crystal has made.
