Mayor’s Minutes: Plymouth’s Jeff Wosje
Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje recently spoke to CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about upcoming events in the city.
Former City Hall
He mentioned the recent re-opening of the former town hall building on Fernbrook Lane North. The city has controlled the building since taking it over before COVID and restored the inside before re-opening it as a museum and research facility.
“It’s really cool,” said Mayor Wosje. “I encourage residents to go there, because you can see Plymouth’s history going back to the 1800s. It’s an interesting history that people can see.”
The building is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the first Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Early Voting
Early voting for November’s general election begins on Friday, September 20.
“It’s hard to believe,” said Wosje. “People can go to city hall (starting on the 20th) and begin voting.”
This year, city council seats in Wards 1 and 3, along with one at-large city council seat are on the ballot.

Dialed Down Disco
Plymouth will once again host a sensory-friendly event for all ages at the community center, called Dialed Down Disco.
Participants can wear wireless headphones and listen to their own music, and there will be no flashing or strobe lights.
It will be on Thursday, October 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are purchased in advance.
