Mayor’s Minutes: New Hope’s Kathi Hemken Says Farewell

New Hope Mayor Kathi Hemken visited with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser one final time before she officially retires, and she reflected on her 16 years as mayor.

“From that time on, in 2008, every election, (the voters) kept taking a chance on me,” said Hemken. “So, they’ve given me this great opportunity.”

Councilmember John Elder won the election and will take over at the first city council meeting of the new year.
