Mayor’s Minutes: New Hope’s John Elder
New Hope Mayor John Elder spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about a handful of events coming to the city later this spring and into the summer.

New Hope Performance Center will host three movie screenings this summer.
He promoted Music and Movies in the Park, which take place at the city-owned New Hope Performance Center adjacent to city hall.
“We really starting to use it for musical concerts and Movies in the Park, along with our OBMT program,” said Elder.

The New Hope Farmers Market will be back for the first time since 2022, this year run by the city at New Hope Church.
Elder also talked about the return–after a two-year hiatus–of the New Hope Farmers Market.
“It’s important,” said Elder of the return.

Waffle Bar food truck packed outside New Hope City Hall.
Food Truck Fridays will be back at New Hope City Hall this summer, also.
“It’s huge,” said Elder. “It’s a great way for community to connect.”
