Mayor’s Minutes: Golden Valley’s Roslyn Harmon
Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser.
She first addressed any questions residents may have about animal control procedures or what to do should they encounter an animal that may be out of place.
“If residents see any animals that are stray or running around without a leash or proper credential on them, please contact either the police or the Department of Natural Resources,” said Harmon. “We want to make sure residents are not only safe but these animals are where they’re supposed to be.”
She also touched on some upcoming opportunities for residents to offer feedback to city officials.
The Golden Valley Police Department will be taking input on its police manual and possible changes to it.
“We would love community input to be a part of those sessions,” said Harmon.
Likewise, the city’s Equity Plan is also available online and the city welcomes input on it and how it’s implemented.
Finally, she quickly addressed the city’s winter parking policies: Parking is prohibited on city streets 2-6 pm daily. Also prohibited on any streets if two inches has fallen and streets aren’t plowed.
