Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about upcoming events in the city–including the best way for residents to get the most up-to-date information about whether an event has been canceled.

The Golden Valley Fire Department will hold it’s Firefighter Recruitment Expo on Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and there will be more recruitment meetings on Tuesday, August 13 at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
“If anyone is interested in public safety and joining our fire department, we encourage you to come down and be a part of that expo,” said Mayor Harmon.
She said the best way for residents to know if an event or a program has been canceled due to any reason, particularly weather, the best way to find out is to go to the city’s website.
