Mayor Graves recently participated in a trip to England for the Strong Cities Trans-Atlantic Dialogue, a chance to meet with leaders from around the world to talk about public safety.
“We talked about different strategies for planning around terrorist attacks and other acts of extremism, which included social as well as built-environment solutions,” Graves told Kiser.
Organics Recycling
Curbside organics recycling begins for the cities of Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and New Hope as part of the Hennepin Recycling Group on March 31.
“About one-third of our trash is organics recycling,” said Graves. “There’s just much better ways to putting that to use and getting that out of our landfills.”
Forestry Programs
Mayor Graves also touted Hennepin County forestry programs available to all residents to help bolster the city’s canopy and to keep trees as healthy as possible.
“We’re not just removing trees, but we’re replacing trees,” she said.
