Mayor’s Minutes: Golden Valley’s Roslyn Harmon
Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about what’s been happening in her community.
Mayor Harmon welcomed a new interim city administrator after the retirement of Tim Cruikshank on March 1. The city hired Noah Schuchman.
“He comes to us from Duluth, Minnesota, where he served as city administrator for six years, and he has over 20 years’ experience,” said Mayor Harmon. “We’re excited to have him help us rebuild Golden Valley.”
Another change in the city’s administration was the promotion of Bethany Brunsell as fire chief. Brunsell has been an assistant chief with Golden Valley Fire Department since 2019.
“We’re very excited to have her,” said Mayor Harmon.
Harmon also discussed a recent change in branding for the joint effort to market the city along with its neighboring suburb, St. Louis Park. Discover St. Louis Park will now be called Westopolis.
“Golden Valley and St. Louis Park are in concert with one another in terms of activities and just having a nice place for people to live, work, and play,” she said.
Harmon also touched on Concerts in the Park coming up again this summer, which are every Monday at 7:00 p.m. beginning June 3.
