Maple Grove Days 2023 recap
The 2023 Maple Grove Days festival was a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate.
The parade featured over 100 entries, including floats, marching bands and community groups. Live music lineup included performances by local bands. There was a wide variety of food vendors, serving up everything from traditional fair food to ethnic cuisine. A games area offered an array of activities for people of all ages, including a petting zoo, midway and water slide.
It was also a great way to showcase the many things that Maple Grove has to offer.
Gleason Fields: “Best Softball and Baseball Facility in the State”
The expansion of Gleason Fields is nearing completion. The city of Maple Grove joined baseball and softball parents to celebrate what local coaches are now calling the “best softball and baseball facility in the state.” The state-of-the-art fields will cater to the sports enthusiasts in the community.
The expansion is expected to be completed in the fall of 2023.
Maple Grove Community Center Redesign in the Works
The city of Maple Grove staff are still working on plans for the redesign of the Maple Grove Community Center. The renovation will include a new fitness center, swimming pool and teen center.
Highway 610 to Widen
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is planning to widen Highway 610 in Maple Grove.
The widening of 610 is expected to begin in 2024 and will be completed in 2026.
Housing Development Underway
Housing developments are popping up all over northwest Maple Grove. The construction includes apartment complexes and single-family homes, as well as a school.
The work is expected to continue for several years.
