Brooklyn Center Working to Support Immigrant Families
Mayor April Graves said the City of Brooklyn Center has compiled online resources and encourages everyone to support local businesses that remain open.
“There’s multiple different ways that you can connect, whether you’re going to our city website and finding a link to a different organization or reaching out to our Community Health Prevention and Safety,” Mayor Graves told CCX Media’s Dave Kiser. “There’s many different Know Your Rights trainings happening throughout the metro, and I encourage all of you to check out those resources and share them with those who may be in need.”
She said the city has been notified that a lot of restaurants are not open for walk-in customers because of staffing concerns.
“Many of the drive-throughs are open, many of the locally-owned markets are open, and I just want to encourage folks to go out and support our small businesses who are struggling right now,” Graves said.
