Brooklyn Center Celebrates Vibrant Aquatic Programs at its 50-Meter Pool
The Brooklyn Center Community Center is gearing up for a busy summer by announcing an array of aquatic classes at the center’s swimming pool, which is just one of three 50 meter indoor pools in the state.
“We have all different things going on here,” said Patrick Reese, Program Supervisor. “We have swimming lessons for six months [old] through adults and from Baby and Me to Little Tots, and all the way up to adult swim lessons and women-only classes,” said Patrick Reese, Program Supervisor.
The community center also offers lifeguard training classes for individuals age 14 and up, as well as opportunities to make swimming accessible to all.
“Swimming being so important, we signed up and received a grant from the USA Swimming Foundation where you can come and, through Baby and Me to Level One, if you’ve never swam here before, you can swim for free and take swimming lessons here with us,” Reese stated.
Community Center members can participate in classes and sessions for free.
Non-members can also take part by paying a daily fee.
