What are your qualifications for this office?
I’m a civil engineer, teacher and successful businesswoman. I started my company 25 years ago, which has grown to 27 employees. I’ve created opportunities for veterans, minorities, and people wishing to change careers. I understand the importance of government-supported infrastructure funding, and my company has worked successfully with townships, cities, counties, and the state to build publicly-funded roads, bridges, and buildings. We need an advocate engineer like me in the senate.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
Winning the District 44 seat could flip the Senate to a DFL majority, which will create a Senate that will engage in serious, substantive work to address the threats of gun violence and climate change, work on infrastructure and transportation issues, encourage renewable energy growth, accomplish common sense police reform, and serve the healthcare needs of every person in this state.
