Police Seek Passenger in Stolen Vehicle Pursuit
Brooklyn Park police arrested a teenage driver, while they continue to look for an additional suspect following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle early Sunday morning.
According to Brooklyn Park police, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday near 75th and Brunswick avenues. The vehicle sped off.
Officers gave chase and were able to safely disable the vehicle less than a half mile away, police said.
Two people ran from the vehicle. Police eventually located and arrested the teenage driver, who was booked at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police said law enforcement searched the area using a drone and assistance from a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, but were unable to find the second person who fled.
The investigation continued Monday with charges pending.
