What are your qualifications for this office?
I have over ten years of experience advocating for students. Drawing on my Master’s Degree in Anthropology, I developed a homeschooling curriculum for my own children. I advocated for students as President of the Chicago Gifted Community Center.
I served as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force at Maple Grove Middle School, and on the District Planning Advisory Council (DPAC). I’m currently working on a Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership at Metropolitan State University.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
I want all students to receive a quality education in a safe and supportive environment. I will address bullying and support a culturally responsive curriculum.
I will help establish outreach and engagement with students and families. I will support a communication strategy that is concise, inclusive, and multilingual.
I will work with the legislature to fully fund our schools. We need smaller class sizes, more mental health supports, and equitably directed resources to solve racial disparities
