Cooper Football Loses Season Opener to St. Francis:

The Cooper football team gave up some big plays in the passing game, leading to a 29-21 loss to St. Francis in the season opener for both teams. Cooper took a 7-0 lead on a touchdown strike of 21 yards from Beckham Van Voorst to Erick Larkins in the first quarter. Early in the second, Van Voorst threw deep to Ashton Harris for a 96-yard touchdown and Cooper seemed in control with a 13-0 lead.
