Several local athletes made the finals of the state Class AA girls swimming and diving championships, earning medals in the final meet of the season.
Ashley Mouyenga of Wayzata was the only local champion, winning diving with 490.7 points.
Ellis Landry of Maple Grove placed second in diving with 408.8 points. For both girls, the finishes were two spots higher than a year ago.
Wayzata’s team had the highest finish among CCX area teams with a fourth place showing.
