The Totino-Grace American Legion baseball team, also known as Fridley Gold Post 303, started off their state tournament pool play with a 2-1 win over Rochester.
The Eagles scored their first run in the top of the first inning when Matthew Galatzer hit an RBI single down the third baseline.
In the top of the fourth, Dimarco Cognetta added a two-run cushion with a RBI single up the middle.
Jake Rantz only allowed four hits and one run in the complete game win.
