The Wayzata gymnastics team opened the season at home against Minnetonka, losing to the Skippers 132.3-129.075.
Mady Johnson of the Trojans won the all-around competition with a score of 35.35. Johnson won the uneven bars (9.025) and balance beam (9.075).
Symone Vesledahl and Dannika Taylor of Minnetonka each scored 8.65's to win the vault competition. Julia Hays of the Skippers was first on floor (8.725).
