The Maple Grove girls hockey team fell at home to Edina, 2-0 in a Lake conference matchup featuring two of the top ten teams in Class 2A.
The Hornets got on the board first in the second period when Lorelai Nelson netted an unassisted goal.
The Crimson had some looks on net late, but couldn’t convert. Brenna Prellwitz scored an empty-netter with under a minute to play to make it a two-goal game.
Bella Prosser ended up with 30 saves for Maple Grove. The Crimson are now 7-4 on the season.
