Wayzata’s Nechanicky Wins 6AA Cross Country
Wayzata High School sophomore Abby Nechanicky won the Section 6AA girls cross country meet for a second year in a row.
Her time of 17:31.5 was more than 30 seconds faster than runner-up Maya Mor of Minnetonka. Sydney Drevlow of Hopkins finished third overall.
Wayzata’s team finished third with Hopkins fourth. Edina won the girls section title.
Armstrong won the Section 6AA boys’ meet with four Falcons’ runners placing in the top ten. There is no state meet this year.
