Wayzata Legion Scores Extra Inning Win
The top Wayzata Legion baseball team edged Eagan 4-3 in eight innings in the Delano Stars and Stripes tournament.
After an early two-run double by Sam Westermeyer staked Wayzata to a 2-0 lead, Eagan battled back to tie it 3-3 in the seventh.
In the bottom of the eighth, Wayzata’s Nick Krienke scored on a wild pitch for the winning run.
The win improved Wayzata’s record to 2-0 in the tournament.
