Wayzata Legion Baseball Primed for State Tournament
Wayzata Post 118 hits the field Thursday afternoon for its first game in the State American Legion Baseball Tournament.
Wayzata defeated the state’s top-ranked Legion team, Excelsior, in the final of the Sub State 4 tourney last weekend in Delano.
That gives the team a lot of optimism heading into state. Post 118 meets Coon Rapids in the first round Thursday at 12:30 pm at Richfield High School.
Edina is the host team for the state tournament this year with many of the tournament games scheduled at Braemar Field.
