Wayzata Football Prepares for Prep Bowl
The Wayzata football team has spent two weeks preparing for the Prep Bowl as the Trojans look to finish its season undefeated.
Friday night the Trojans (12-0) meet Champlin Park (10-1) for the Class 6A championship.
The Trojans have defeated Centennial and Lakeville South in the state playoffs in reaching the Prep Bowl for the first time since 2011.
A strong rushing attack, led by 1800-yard rusher Christian Vasser, is complimented by a talented passing game.
Wayzata’s defense features four first-team all-metro players.
Kickoff for the Class 6A title game is scheduled for 7:00 pm Friday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
