Wayzata Falls to Excelsior in Legion Playoffs
The Wayzata American Legion baseball team fell 3-1 to Excelsior in the Sub-State 4 tournament in St. Louis Park.
Excelsior scored a run in the third inning and added two more runs in the fifth.
Wayzata scored its lone run of the game in the sixth inning on a Brennan Albert sacrifice fly.
Post 118 was eliminated by Hopkins early Friday afternoon.
The double elimination tournament continues through at least Saturday at Keller Field in St. Louis Park.
