Wayzata Edges Osseo in 4th of July Baseball Final
The Wayzata I American Legion baseball team edged Osseo 2-0 in eight innings in the championship of the Delano Stars and Stripes 4th of July tournament.
Sam Westermeyer pitched all eight innings for the win to outduel Cade Wiles of Osseo.
The game was scoreless until the top of the eighth, when Wayzata scratched two runs across.
Westermeyer finished off the Orioles in the bottom of the inning.
Wayzata has won the tournament four of the past five years.
