Wayzata Boys Hockey Team Falls
The Wayzata boys hockey team fell to Edina 5-2 in the regular season finale Saturday.
The Trojans netted the first two goals of the first period, with Hayden Davison and Jack Kimlinger scoring.
Edina scored once in the first period and once more in the second to even the game at 2-2.
The Hornets broke through with three goals in the third, including an empty netter.
Wayzata is the number three seed for the Section 6AA tournament behind Edina and Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
That tournament quarterfinals are Thursday.
