Wayzata Baseball Repeats as Section Champion
The Wayzata baseball team repeated as Section 6AAAA champion with a thrilling win.
The Trojans beat St. Louis Park 4-2 to capture their third consecutive section title.
Sam Westermeyer pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and also hit a homerun to key the win.
Wayzata scored single runs in the first and fourth innings before Riley Dvorak’s two-run double for SLP tied it.
Westermeyer answereed with a solo homerun in the bottom of the fifth to give Wayzata the lead for good.
