Terry Tuma Tip: Summer Crappies
In this week’s CCX Sports fishing tip, Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about summer crappie fishing.
Terry says to use your electronics to mark the crappies, often found in schools but sometimes stretched out or scattered along the lake bottom.
Jigs and plastics can be the most productive lures and Terry often uses an electric trolling motor and trolls slowing while fishing for crappies.
If the crappies are scattered, consider using a live bait rig with four pound test line and a four to five foot long snell and tipped with a fathead.
