Terry Tuma Tip: Catching Big Northern Pike
In this week’s CCX Fishing Tip, Hall of fame angler Terry Tuma talks about catching big northern pike in August.
Terry says, in deeper water lakes especially, that pike move in from the deep locations of the lake to weed locations along the edges, especially when water temperatures are still warm.
Terry often uses bright spinner baits or alternately try jigging along the weeds using big plastic lures.
Trolling against a green weed edge using a bobber system, tipped with a sucker minnow can also be successful.
