Stars Shine at Lake Conference Track and Field
On a bright sunny day, the stars did shine at the Lake Conference track and field meet at Wayzata.
With the state True Team meet coming up Friday, host Wayzata held many of its top performers out.
That didn’t stop some impressive performances.
The Trojans boys team won the meet, with Hopkins second.
Minnetonka won the girls title, with Edina second and Wayzata third.
The Hopkins boys 4 x 200 relay set a new meet record, and they also won the 4 x 100.
The Hopkins girls also won the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200.
Carissa Travis of Wayzata won the shot put and discus.
