This week on CCX Media’s Sports Jam, highlights from section boys and girls basketball play. Four local girls’ teams advanced to this week’s state tournament. Plus highlights from state boys hockey and a look ahead to this week’s adapted floor hockey tournament.
In this week’s Sports Jam Spotlight segment Jason Melillo profiles local state champion wrestlers R.J. Chakolis of Hopkins, Cael Swensen of Wayzata and Joey Thompson from Totino-Grace. The state titles were the first for Chakolis and Swensen and the third for Thompson.
Plus John Jacobson talks with Hopkins girls basketball player KK Adams and head coach Brian Cosgriff about the team’s section final win over Wayzata and the upcoming state tournament. And we reveal last week’s Play of the Week winner.
