This week on CCX Media’s Sports Jam, highlights from the state track and field meet which featured outstanding performances from several local athletes plus the state softball final in Class 4A, won by Maple Grove. Also highlights from state boys’ tennis and section baseball and lacrosse.
In our Sports Jam Spotlight segment Jason Melillo profiles Maple Grove girls’ lacrosse player Natalie Hanson. She is one of just two Crimson seniors on a team that will play in the state tournament for a fourth straight season.
Also on the show Jay Wilcox talks with Hopkins baseball players Wyatt Nelson, Calvin Harris and Luke Polyak about the Royals’ section final win over Wayzata and the upcoming state tournament. Plus we reveal last week’s Play of the Week winner.
