Section Girls Hockey Ready to Face Off

Section girls hockey playoffs are set to face off this weekend for teams in the northwest suburbs.

Maple Grove earned the top seed for the Section 5AA tournament, which gets Saturday.

The top-seeded Crimson meet number eight seed Irondale in the quarterfinals at noon.

Fifth seed Champlin Park-Coon Rapids meets fourth seed North Wright County at 2:00 p.m.

Second seed Rogers plays Mounds View at 4:00.

Sixth seed Osseo-Park Center takes on Centennial-Spring Lake Park at 6:00.

All of the Section 5AA tournament is at Roseville Ice Arena.

The semifinals are Tuesday February 15th and the championship Friday February 18th.

In Section 6AA, Wayzata is the number two seed behind Edina. The Trojans host seventh seed Hopkins/Park in the quarterfinals Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Fifth seed Armstrong-Cooper plays at fourth seed Blake in the quarterfinals Saturday at noon.

Third seed Benilde-St. Margaret’s hosts Minnehaha United Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The semifinals are Wednesday February 16th and the championship Friday February 18th.

The semifinals and final are at Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis.
