Robbinsdale tournament to benefit Baseball in Benin
A record 50 teams are signed up to play in a Little League wood bat baseball tournament this weekend that benefits the Baseball in Benin project.
Games in three age divisions will be played in Robbinsdale and St. Louis Park, including Lee and Sanborn Parks and Lakeview Terrace.
The Robbinsdale Wood Bat tournament began in 2005 with six teams and for the last seven seasons money raised has gone to support the development of
baseball in the West African nation of Benin. Games begin Thursday and continue through Sunday.
