Osseo-Maple Grove Wins Whiz Bang Baseball
The Osseo-Maple Grove Blazers defeated Irondale 4-3 Sunday to win the Robbinsdale Whiz Bang Days baseball tournament in the 14-15 year old division.
Sam Wolkerstorfer drove in two runs for the Blazers while Reed Lewis pitched four innings to earn the win. O-MG scored two runs in the fourth and two runs in the seventh and played solid defense to help secure the win. Sam Franzen of Irondale struck out 12 batters in four innings of work.
White Bear Lake won the 19-year old division at the 9th annual Whiz Bang tournament.
