Osseo Edges Champlin Park in Boys Basketball Thriller
The Osseo and Champlin Park boys basketball teams appeared to be pretty evenly matched heading into their section 5AAAA semifinal Tuesday, and that proved to be true.
Champlin Park built a 14-point halftime lead but Osseo surged ahead in the second half.
The teams battled down the stretch and it was tied after regulation and after the first overtime.
Osseo’s Johnson Fallah rebounded a missed shot and scored just as time expired in the second overtime to give the Orioles a 56-54 win.
They will play Park Center in the section final Friday night at Rogers High School.
