OMGAA Cancels Summer Season for Baseball, Softball
The Osseo Maple Grove Athletic Association announced Thursday that the spring/summer season for youth baseball and softball teams has been canceled for 2020. The Association had hoped to play a modified schedule starting this month but the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services organization released a statement earlier this week canceling the June portion of the 2020 season and OMGAA said they will “be following (MYAS) lead.”
In an email to parents OMGAA officials said they “will now work diligently towards offering an extended fall season, which will begin in July.” OMGAA will be issuing refunds to all families who had paid their registration fees for the 2020 season and will soon open a new registration for the proposed fall season.
The Association said details are still being worked out for the fall and that more information will be forthcoming.
