Northwest Area Football Teams Fall in Playoffs
Northwest area football teams didn’t fare so well in the playoffs Friday night.
All five teams covered by CCX Sports lost their games.
In class 6A, Maple Grove gave top-ranked Lakeville North a battle but lost 21-13.
Wayzata and Woodbury played a great game but Wayzata lost 16-14.
Champlin Park and Lakeville South lit up the scoreboard with the Rebels losing 43-34.
Cooper lost the Section 5AAAAA final 28-14 to Spring Lake Park.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s fell 16-14 to SMB in the Section 5AAAA final.
