Nnajis Wait on Hoop Dreams
Brother and sister Zeke and Maya Nnaji are both facing an uncertain summer of basketball because of the COVID-19 crisis.
Zeke, a 2019 Hopkins High School graduate, finished a great freshman season of basketball at the University of Arizona in March and has since declared for the NBA draft. The league is not permitting any workouts for players yet but he has been conducting teleconference interviews with teams.
Maya is a sophomore at Hopkins with two dozen Division One offers who has seen much of her AAU season already cancelled. Maya is talking to college coaches via Zoom as most campuses are currently closed for in-person visits.
Both Nnajis played for state championship teams at Hopkins in the 2018-19 season.
